Core Academics
At North Valley Ed, we blend core academics with hands-on, active learning to make education engaging and meaningful.
Students build literacy and math skills through real-life projects like carpentry, cooking, and gardening, while still receiving structured lessons in reading, writing, and spelling. This integrated approach helps children connect what they learn to the world around them, fostering deeper understanding and retention.
Outdoor Education
Our outdoor education program immerses students in nature through hands-on learning in foraging, local biology, and ecosystems.
Guided by a certified survival instructor and trained biology teacher, children also gain essential outdoor skills as well as a deep respect for the balance between humans and the natural world. This experience fosters self-reliance, environmental awareness, and a lifelong connection to nature.
Life Skills
Our homeschooling program equips students with essential life skills like gardening, cooking, carpentry, and sewing through practical, hands-on experiences.
These activities not only build confidence and independence but also reinforce core academic concepts in meaningful, real-world contexts. Students learn to problem-solve, think creatively, and take pride in their abilities—all vital for lifelong success.
Arts + Music
Unleash creativity with nature-inspired art projects, music and dance!
Our homeschool enrichment program celebrates creative expression through art, music, and dance, allowing children to explore their emotions, ideas, and individuality in joyful, imaginative ways. These activities enhance learning by nurturing creativity, boosting confidence, and making education a dynamic and enjoyable experience.
Physical Ed + Nutrition
Our physical education and nutrition classes promote lifelong wellness by combining movement, mindfulness, and healthy eating habits.
Through team activities and goal-setting exercises, students build leadership skills, confidence, and a strong sense of personal responsibility. The program fosters both mental and physical resilience, helping children develop healthy routines that support overall well-being.
Finance & Entrepreneurship Skills
For the older kids looking for a challenge, we offer classes geared towards finance and entrepreneurial skills!
Students will learn the basics of entrepreneurship, budgeting, saving, and smart spending through interactive projects like creating mini businesses, tracking expenses, and exploring real-world financial scenarios. This hands-on course builds confidence, critical thinking, and the foundational skills needed for financial independence and future success.
